ivivva’s live to dance video contest!
Calling all ivivva dancers! It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for.
ivivva is on a search for the star of our next Live to Dance video… and it could be YOU!
The ivivva Live to Dance video contest opens on Friday January 20th, 2012 at 10am PST, and submissions will be accepted until Sunday February 5th, 2012 at 11:59pm PST. The contest is open to residents of Canada and the 50 United States (including District of Columbia), excluding Quebec.
The winner will be the STAR of ivivva’s next Live to Dance video, and will receive $1,000 worth of awesome ivivva gear! Check out a few of our other videos… and imagine yourself in the next one:

What do I need to submit to be considered for the ivivva Live to Dance contest?
There are 3 parts to your Live to Dance submission:
1. Your information (Name, Birthday, Address, etc.)
2. Your answer to the question “Why do you live to dance?” (in 200 words or less)
3. A video showing us your BEST dance moves!
Where do I submit my entry?
On Facebook. Visit this link and get writing. Don’t forget that you need to include your video in your submission – so it’s a good idea to film that before you start your application.
Do I have to have Facebook to enter the Live to Dance video contest?
No. You can also submit your entry in the mail. Send us package which includes your Name, Birthdate, Address, City, State/Province, Country & Home Phone Number, along with your answer to “Why Do you Live to Dance?” and a DVD video showing off your best dance moves. If you are under the age of majority in your province, territory or state of residence, we will also need a name and signature from your parent or legal guardian authorizing your entry in the contest. Our address is 400-1818 Cornwall Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6J 1C7. Be sure to write “ivivva Live to Dance Contest” on the outside of your package.
I need some ideas for my Live to Dance video. What should I submit?
Show us your BEST skills! Choose your favourite choreography from dance class and perform a small piece, or pick a few of your favourite dance moves and show us those.
How should I make my video?
It’s easiest to make your video with a friend… that way they can film you, and you can film them. It’s as easy as using your smart phone! Whether or not you want to have music in your video is totally up to you. All we ask is that you keep your submission under 2 minutes. Check out the official contest rules for all the details!
Can my friends & I film a video together?
Please make your video submission individual. That way, we can choose a single Live to Dance star. This video should be all about YOU!
How will you decide the winner?
The ivivva dance team will read all of the written submissions, watch all of the video submissions, and choose the winner based on creativity, flexibility, technique & strength – but most of all, personality! Make sure who you are SHINES through in your writing and your video.
When will the winner be announced?
On Friday February 17, 2012 at 3pm PST. Stay tuned to our blog and Facebook & Twitter to see if you’ll be ivivva’s next Live to Dance star!
If I’m selected as the next Live to Dance video star, what happens then?
We’ll start by giving you a call and letting you know. Then, we’ll arrange some dates for our ivivva crew to visit your hometown and start filming. (So FUN right!?)

How old do you need to be? Because I’m twelve
and im not just going to enter, im going to WIN!
Some times its no fun because you love Ivivva, but you don’t skate, or dance or do gym, you play other sports, like soccer. And you just wish that other sports that girls like us love to play, could have a chance at an awesome contest like that. And just like anyone, no one likes being left out, so I wish that you could include other sports too, because there are lots of other girls who love to play sports and be active too, not just skaters, dancers and gymnasts’.
I so want to enter this contest because I love to dance… I dance 4 nights a week and it is a passion of mine.

I agree, there are so many other girls who play different sports that love ivivva gear, you should have a contest, send in a video or picture of you doing your sport, featuring a time when you wear ivivva.
i agree with Kaley, however I do synchronized swimming, but soccer deserves just the same

I totally agree. Lots of girls play soccer, basketball or other active sports…not just figure skating, dance and gymnastics.
I love ballet. I started two years ago and ballet is the only dance I do. I started at the age of 10 so I’m not so good and I’m not do flexible. But I’m gonna do my best and continue!!!!!
Also, I wish there was contest for other sports…. Im in the basket ball team and I’m the only seventh grader there!!!!!!
