The 411 on shorts

Here are our 3 most popular shorts styles right now, what sport they’re great for, and what’s awesome about them. Click here to check out all 8 different styles of shorts.

Dance Everywhere Short

Sport: Dance, perfect to wear to + from the studio or practice.

Why these shorts rocks:

  • Where to begin! These shorts offer a comfortable, loose fit making them perfect to throw over your leotard (or bathing suit!) so you can get on with your day in the sun.
  • They’re made from luon® fabric with circle mesh pockets which gives you great breathability (not sticky or sweaty) and comfy 4 way stretch.
  • They sit medium to low on your waist - similar to the Rhythmic Short.
  • There is a built-in liner to protect you and keep you covered in all of your moves.
  • The wide, flat seamed waistband sits comfortably – no digging in! – and prevents chaffing.
  • Convenient front pockets to store all your goods.

Rhythmic Short

Sport: Gymnastics, Dance, Volleyball.

Why these shorts rocks:

  • The Rhythmic shorts continue to be one of our best sellers. They offer a snug body fit and luon® fabric – a killer combo that allows you to focus on your moves, not your clothes. (These puppies won’t ride up!)
  •  They sit medium to low on your waist – and have the same waistband as the Straight Up Pant.
  • Wide smooth waistband won’t dig in and has a hidden waistband pocket for your cash and keys.
  • One of the best things about the Rhythmic shorts is that they’re reversible! So you can easily change up your outfit depending on your mood.

*Note: only those styles that are black with colored waistbands are reversible. Shorts that are all one solid colour or solid print are not reversible.

Routine Short

Sport: Dance, Gymnastics, Soccer,  perfect to wear to + from the studio or practice.

Why these shorts rocks:

  • Made of luon® fabric, the Routine Shorts offer a lot of the same awesome features as the Rhythmic shorts – but they are slightly longer, adding more coverage.

  • They have a body skimming fit similar to the Routine pant.
  • They sit medium to high on your waist.
  • This short is also fully reversible adding colour and pizazz on one side and solid black on the other.
  • The waistband has a hidden pocket to store your chapstick, bobby pins and cash.

  7. @HANNAH:
Hmmm jazz class… do you want a tight fit or a loose fit??

Tight fit- The rythmic shorts are great, and the only difference between them and the routine short is that the routine short is about a inch or two longer. I myself use the rythmic short, but it depends if your studio has rules regarding length…

Loose fit- Dance around shorts. They are great, except I personally would not wear them in a jazz class, because well, they are loose….I think they were more made for going over a leotard for warm up rather than in class.

I hope this helps and dance away!
